Cadre of Program Reviewers
The Cadre of Program Reviewers consists of approximately 180 PTs, PTAs, and higher education administrators. Each member of the program review team, whether a document reviewer or on-site reviewer has completed hybrid training course to learn about CAPTE's expectations as well as how to conduct a program
Developing PT Programs
View physical therapist programs that are at various levels of the application for accreditation status. PTA to PT Bridge Programs
Access the list of accredited education programs bridging from PTA to PT. These programs are designed for physical therapist assistants who want to continue their education to become a physical therapist.
Data and Research
Program data is collected annually and is used for program reviews and to create the annual aggregate data and salary reports.
CAPTE Portal
The CAPTE Accreditation Portal provides commissioners and program reviewers with an opportunity to keep their personal and professional information current, update conflicts with programs before and after meetings, and review all related materials for programs assigned to them for review (i.e., Self-study
Accredited Physical Therapy Programs
The CAPTE directory of accredited physical therapist (PT) and physical therapist assistant (PTA) programs is updated at least weekly. Schools, programs, degrees, and other information are listed only after satisfactory completion of the CAPTE accreditation process.
