Who We Are

The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) is an accrediting agency that is nationally recognized by the US Department of Education (USDE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). CAPTE grants specialized accreditation status to qualified entry-level education

Data and Research

Program data is collected annually and is used for program reviews and to create the annual aggregate data and salary reports.

Master List of Accredited Programs for the Physical Therapist Assistant

View currently and previously accredited physical therapist assistant education programs, including information about degrees conferred and first and last graduating classes, via the Master Lists. Each Master List is updated approximately 60 days after each CAPTE meeting.

Complaints

CAPTE considers complaints about programs that are accredited or are seeking accreditation by CAPTE, and complaints about CAPTE itself.
